Early Thursday, Ukraine launched a
massive drone attack on the Gazprom Neft Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya,
sparking huge fires and marking the second hit this week after damage on June
16.
President Zelenskyy confirmed the
strikes by Ukraine's Security Service and other forces as a justified response
to Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, also targeting sites in Rostov and
occupied areas.
Moscow Mayor Sobyanin said air defenses downed nearly 200 drones, contained the fire, and kept fuel supplies steady despite flight disruptions and 16-17 injuries in the region.
