unveiling of Kenya's New National Vision, Ruto insisted every sector agrees
goonism must stop, urging officers to act within the law.
The order came after masked men disrupted the
July 16 Ol Kalou by-election in Nyandarua County, clashing with voters,
attacking journalists, and sparking bribery scandals exposed by NTV.
Despite the
violence, DCP candidate Sammy Douglas Waweru Kamau won with 35,440 votes over
UDA's 5,450, a result hailed by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as a
stand against intimidation.
Critics question the government's role, but Ruto stressed distinguishing peaceful protests from crimes to protect stability ahead of 2027 elections.
