In a
pointed X post on September 16, former Deputy President Gachagua accused Ruto
of deflecting blame onto Uhuru to dodge governance failures like raided
payslips, abductions of GenZs, empty churches, medicine shortages, and barriers
to education.
He declared all 55 million Kenyans as Ruto's opponents and urged him to prepare handover notes for the August 10, 2027 election.
The statement followed Ruto's Nyanza tour rallies in Migori and Awendo, where he dismissed Uhuru's influence, while Nairobi MP Esther Passaris called for Uhuru to prioritize the nation over personal roles.
