The IRGC
released the letter Tuesday through spokesman Brig. Gen. Hossein Mohebbi at a
Tehran press conference, tracing U.S.-Iran tensions from the 1953 coup to today
and questioning why America's rich resources leave 39 million in poverty and
millions homeless.
It denies nuclear weapon ambitions, reframes 'Death to America' as aimed at policies not people, and calls for closing 800 U.S. military bases, ending Israel aid, and new leaders before midterms. Despite criticisms, the letter closes with hope for peaceful coexistence, as President Trump predicts a quick end to the conflict and falling energy prices.
