The Chief
of Defence Forces escalated a public spat with Masaka City Woman MP Nameere,
who earlier appeared in a video clip warning against interference with NRM
legislators a clip some say was edited to target PLU figures like Secretary
General Daudi Kabanda.
Muhoozi linked the dispute to local Masaka
politics, declaring residents support him and President Museveni over Nameere,
and vowed to campaign against her while promising to 'rescue' the area.
The clash follows over 50 NRM Buganda MPs endorsing his 2031 presidential bid at a Serena Hotel Kigo gathering led by Defence Minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka, amid rising PLU mobilization in the region and broader tensions in NRM-PLU circles.
