During his
development tour of Nyanza, President William Ruto visited Siaya County to
check progress on the 200-meter Dhogoye Bridge in Bondo, designed to replace a
flood-prone drift and improve connectivity around Lake Victoria.
Accompanied by Governor Gladys Wanga and MP Samuel Atandi, he announced tarmacking for the Bondo-Usenge-Osieko road, plus KSh10 billion for blue economy projects like piers and ferry services, and KSh1.5 billion for fish landing sites.
The warm welcome from enthusiastic supporters highlighted commitments to boost trade, reduce isolation, and drive local economic growth in the region.
