President
William Ruto wrapped up a four-day tour of Kericho and Bomet counties with an
overwhelming welcome from supporters, highlighting projects like the Chelimo
Special Economic Zone for over 10,000 youth jobs, a 2,280-unit affordable
housing scheme, a new medical school, and a mother-baby hospital.
He pledged to speed up these initiatives in health, housing, roads, and job creation to transform the region.
Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir praised the turnout, noting how new infrastructure links farmers to markets, while observers saw it as strong public backing for the agenda. Ruto has now headed to Kisumu for more development launches in Nyanza.
