Ruto Assures Foreigners Welcome in Kenya Amid Compliance Push

On September 12, while laying the foundation for the Chebunyo Mother and Child Hospital, President William Ruto told South Rift crowds that no Kenyan has the right to harm foreign nationals, responding to recent tensions over a 90-day regularization deadline for foreign traders.

He reaffirmed Kenya's openness to investors from East Africa and beyond, stressing fair treatment under the law. The tour also highlighted progress on a $35 million Level 4 hospital, a modern market, roads, and a stadium, blending policy clarity with development milestones.
