Besigye's Health Worsens in Ugandan Detention Amid Election Fallout

Longtime challenger Kizza Besigye, detained over a year without trial on treason charges, was rushed from prison to a Kampala clinic as his condition turned critical, his party and wife Winnie Byanyima say. Prison officials call it a routine check-up and insist he is stable.
