The club dismissed the
40-year-old Portuguese coach on Monday after a 1-1 draw at Leeds left United
sixth in the Premier League, with only 13 points from their last nine games
against mid-table teams.
Tensions had built over his rigid 3-4-3
tactics, transfer clashes with director Jason Wilcox, and poor results despite
£200 million in spending, including last season's record-low 15th place finish.
