Today, Kenya's government is
disbursing Ksh 3.06 billion in free grants to 122,203 youth aged 18-29 under
Phase II of the World Bank-funded NYOTA program.
President Ruto leads the event in
Nairobi, with events in 17 other venues, including 88,934 returning recipients
getting their second Ksh 25,000 tranche and 33,269 first-timers starting with
Ksh 25,000.
The initiative offers training, mentorship,
and capital to boost jobs and incomes, building on Phase I where 95% of
recipients now run businesses.
