Kenya Power issued a position
statement explaining that 15 transformers removed from Mbeere North between May
and June were taken for routine maintenance, with 14 already repaired and
reinstalled.
The company addressed public skepticism and claims of political motives, such as redistribution to Ol Kalou ahead of a by-election. One vandalized transformer at Njarange in Embu County is being replaced as part of efforts to restore electricity supply.
