The Kenyan government flagged off the Gas Yetu Clean
Cooking Programme in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County, providing 20,000 households
with a complete LPG starter kit including a pre-filled cylinder, burner, and
grill for KSh 1,500.
The launch was attended by Principal Secretary for Petroleum Kello Harsama, Principal Secretary for Energy Alex Wachira, former CS Moses Kuria, and Principal Secretary for Blue Economy Betty Muthoni. Nyandarua becomes the fifth or sixth county to benefit from the national initiative.
