Kenya's Talanta Stadium Nears Completion for AFCON 2027

Talanta Sports City Stadium along Nairobi's Ngong Road stands over 90% complete, with seats installed, pitch grass germinated, and a July handover planned.

The venue anchors Kenya's co-hosting of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with Uganda and Tanzania, part of President William Ruto's push for 31 new or renovated stadia nationwide to boost tourism, youth talent, and the economy.

A naming debate continues, with officials using Talanta Sports City while Ruto pledged to rename it Raila Odinga International Stadium.
