Morara Kebaso Ditches INJECT to Join Jubilee for Borabu MP Seat

Kebaso, who rose to fame in the 2024 Gen Z protests, launched INJECT less than two years ago as a youth platform for integrity and reforms but faced registration hurdles and local resistance.

He aligned with Jubilee, led by Fred Matiang’i, because it dominates Borabu in Nyamira County and the Gusii region, saying voters won't back newcomers.

The move drew praise for pragmatism from some and mockery as a flip-flop from critics, highlighting challenges for new parties in Kenya's ethnic politics ahead of 2027.
