Oscar Sudi Defends Mt. Kenya Leaders in Fiery UDA Address

As a key ally of President William Ruto, Sudi opposed dismissing Mt. Kenya Cabinet Secretaries, crediting the region's voters for Ruto's rise and demanding loyalty in return.

He accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of stirring unrest with goons in Ol Kalou and urged his wife, Pastor Dorcas, to intervene, while brushing off jabs at his businesses with a quip about not selling mattresses and gas.

The address underscores UDA's internal tensions ahead of 2027, with Mt. Kenya's support for Ruto at stake amid Gachagua's regional pushback.
