Ruto met
grassroots leaders from Bungoma County, led by MP Didmus Barasa, to reaffirm
commitments like a KSh 8 billion Level 6 hospital and KSh 30 billion for
affordable housing, including an 18,000-unit smart city and modern markets.
This came a day after his UDA party's major
loss in Ol Kalou, where DCP's Sammy Waweru won with 35,440 votes to UDA's
5,450.
He urged focusing on national unity and development over divisive politics ahead of 2027, telling supporters to relax as his team handles the political landscape.
