U.S. Central Command Launches Third Round of Strikes

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces attacked the Cyprus-flagged container ship M/V GFS Galaxy transiting the Strait of Hormuz, causing an onboard fire, significant engine room damage, and leaving one civilian crew member missing.

 U.S. Central Command responded with the third round of strikes this week against Iran at 7:15 p.m.

ET to degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial ships after failing to a
dhere to a Memorandum of Understanding. Iran's IRGC subsequently announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz until further notice.
