U.S. Launches Additional Strikes on Iranian Military Targets in Southern Iran After Trump Declares Ceasefire Over

President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran over at the NATO summit in Ankara due to Iranian attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, directing U.S. Central Command to conduct broader strikes on IRGC sites, coastal radars, anti-ship missiles, air defense systems, ports, and barracks in Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Chabahar, Konarak, Sirik, Qeshm Island, and Kharg Island.

The strikes killed eight Iranian air force and navy personnel, including Captain Ali Moeini and First Lieutenant Ali Mehdi-Zadeh. Iran responded with threats of NPT withdrawal, strait closures, counterattacks on U.S. bases, and suspension of peace negotiations.
