Aminu, a 20-year-old self-taught inventor from Kano, Nigeria, conducted the
first real-world trial of his V2 AI-powered smart glasses on a blind person.
The device uses a camera, sensors, GPS, and remote AI to detect obstacles, alert via vibrations and sounds, and share the wearer's location with caregivers if needed.
Aminu listens closely to user feedback during tests to add features like voice descriptions of surroundings, aiming to help visually impaired people navigate independently without canes or guides.
