Speaking at
an event in Wamunyoro on August 24, 2026, Democracy for the Citizens Party
leader Rigathi Gachagua said that if he were Raila Odinga, who passed away in
October 2025, he would have guided Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, making ODM much
stronger today.
Gachagua, who called Babu a capable politician and buddy, plans to visit Luo Nyanza at Babu's invitation to honor Raila and meet local leaders.
