Iran's FM Tells Qatar Diplomacy with US Possible if Pressure Ends

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Tehran on Thursday to discuss de-escalation, Strait of Hormuz navigation, and steps for broader talks.

Araghchi posted that reviving U.S. diplomacy is possible if Washington drops pressure tactics, builds trust, speaks respectfully, and honors commitments.

Iran's Foreign Ministry separately urged nations to ignore new U.S. sanctions, calling them illegal economic terrorism, while Qatar pushes mediation like shipping corridors and mine-clearing.
