Nordic-Baltic Leaders Visit Kyiv for Ukraine's Flag Day and Independence Celebrations

Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, and delegations from Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Norway arrived by special train to join flag-raising ceremonies and meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The visit highlights solidarity after more than four years of war, with Stubb affirming Finland's support 'today, tomorrow, and in the future,' while Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha noted upcoming key decisions from talks.

Zelenskyy called the blue-and-yellow flag a symbol of home, warmth, resilience, freedom, and defiance, as the leaders prepare for summits seeking more air-defense aid ahead of the 35th Independence Day on August 24.
