Kenya Gains AGOA Extension and Cancer Drug Deal

The US extended Kenya's AGOA benefits until December 31, 2028, securing jobs in textiles and apparel and giving manufacturers time to expand.

President Ruto announced a Pfizer deal slashing cancer medicine costs, fully covered for eligible patients under the Social Health Authority's KSh800,000 package.

Small businesses got relief too, with lower import benchmarks, cheaper rail fees, and eased clearance rules, alongside infrastructure launches in Kajiado County like roads and irrigation schemes.
