Kenya Power announced power
interruptions on Friday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. across parts of
Nairobi—including Donholm, Jacaranda, Kayole Spine Road, Runda, and Upper
Hill—plus sections of Migori, Nyeri, and Kitui counties.
Many locals report unplanned evening outages around 6 or 6:30 p.m. for several nights, calling it a daily ritual and questioning if it's rationing.
The company explains these as necessary for network upgrades and new connections, urging use of the *977# code or My Power app for updates amid restoration delays in places like Nyali.
