Corporal Nderitu, under witness
protection, died on September 7, 2026, from acute ulcers, cardiac arrest, and
depression according to postmortem results.
He was expected to link former OCS Samson Talam to tampering with CCTV footage in the death of teacher and blogger Albert Ojwang, who suffered severe injuries in police custody on June 8, 2025.
The timing has fueled public skepticism online, with many questioning the circumstances as the trial against six officers presses on. Prosecutors may now use his prior statement from May 2025 as evidence.
