Lavrov Demands Maduro's Release and Condemns Khamenei Killing at UN

During the 81st UN General Assembly session, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov criticized the U.S. seizure of Maduro and Cilia Flores as a breach of international norms and diplomatic immunity, demanding their immediate release.

He labeled the force used against Khamenei and other Iranian leaders unacceptable, pointing to U.S. and Israeli strikes on civilian and nuclear sites as causing irreparable damage to global nonproliferation.

Lavrov also supported permanent UN Security Council seats for India and Brazil, rejected them for Germany and Japan, affirmed Russia's Ukraine goals, and urged a Palestinian state based on UN resolutions.
