Poland's Tusk Warns of Russian Hybrid Strikes on NATO Allies

In a September 17 speech, Tusk cited intelligence from Polish, NATO, Ukrainian, and U.S. sources to warn that Russia may launch hybrid drone and missile strikes on countries like Poland aiding Ukraine, framing incidents as accidents to probe NATO's resolve without invoking Article 5.

Recent drone strikes near the Polish border have prompted air alerts, jet scrambles, and air defense deployments at key crossings, heightening concerns over areas like the Suwałki Gap.

Tusk heads to Kyiv on September 18 to meet President Zelenskyy on air defenses, sanctions, and Ukraine's energy needs ahead of winter, as Russia denies any intent to target NATO.
