William Ruto hosted outgoing French Ambassador Arnaud Suquet for a farewell
meeting on Wednesday, praising the elevated diplomatic, economic, and strategic
ties between Kenya and France.
Key achievements included co-hosting the Africa Forward Summit in May 2026, where they signed 11 agreements worth billions for rail upgrades, digital connectivity, a science complex, and aviation fuel.
Suquet thanked Ruto for the collaboration on energy, transport, and youth opportunities, pledging continued French investment, while National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula reviewed progress on trade, security, and infrastructure.
