US Missile Strike Kills Five at Iranian Wedding, Injures Dozens

The strike hit a residential home hosting a wedding in Kuhestak village, Sirik County, southern Iran's Hormozgan province, killing at least five people—including 4-year-old Amir Mohammad Karimi, 16-year-old Mohammad Mollahi, 50-year-old Zarkhatoon Taheri, and 43-year-old Kulsoom Mollahi Najjand—and wounding dozens, mostly women and children treated at Minab Hospital.

US Central Command said the strikes targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps sites in response to Iranian actions in the Strait of Hormuz and insisted no civilians were aimed at, while Iranian officials condemned it as an attack on a civilian celebration. Reports noted concurrent power outages and rising tensions, with the death toll expected to climb amid disputed accounts from both sides.
