Mohammad
Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's Parliament Speaker, confirmed the US sent new proposals
through intermediaries but insisted the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen until
seven conditions outlined in the June Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding are
fulfilled.
These conditions include lifting the maritime blockade, releasing frozen assets, ending sanctions on oil exports, halting military operations, withdrawing US forces from surrounding areas, and providing compensation. Discussions continue via mediators, with Iran prioritizing Strait security over nuclear talks amid ongoing tensions.
