President Ruto Celebrates 3,772 Skilled Artisans at State House

President William Ruto presided over the first Recognition of Prior Learning graduation under NITA's NYOTA programme, awarding certificates to 3,772 workers in fields like construction, electrical work, automotive technology, and cosmetology.

He launched the Fundi Locator App to connect them with customers and stressed technical skills as key to progress, citing Germany's manufacturing success and a rise in technical college enrolment from 780,000 in 2022 to 1.3 million today. Ruto also defended the Affordable Housing Programme's salary deductions, noting they support 1.1 million jobs and plans to create up to 2.5 million more in two years.
