Turkish Grain Ship Sinks in Black Sea After Suspected Drone Strike

The Royad Mammadov, flagged to Saint Kitts and Nevis and carrying grain from Ukraine to Italy, sank Monday about 20 nautical miles from Romania's shore after a suspected drone strike. Romanian rescuers pulled 11 survivors from the water, including Azerbaijani and Indian crew members, while confirming two deaths, including the captain.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy blamed Russian drones in neutral waters and urged action to protect Black Sea shipping and global food security amid the ongoing conflict.
