Two Latvian Nationals Arrested for Trespassing at RAF Molesworth

The 36-year-old and 32-year-old Latvian nationals, living in the UK, were spotted after an abandoned vehicle near RAF Molesworth's fence led to a search uncovering a small breach. Initially held for trespass and criminal damage, they face charges under the National Security Act for entering a prohibited site in a way harmful to the UK.

Counter-terrorism police, led by Commander Helen Flanagan, are probing motives with an open mind and no links to recent incidents at other bases like RAF Fairford. The US-operated site hosts Europe's Joint Intelligence Operations Centre.
