On NBC’s
Meet the Press, Zelenskyy said the U.S. government directed SpaceX to limit
Starlink and Starshield services, including speeds around 161 km/h that hinder
interceptor drones. He also revealed a three-day pause in U.S. intelligence on
Russian ballistic missiles, now restored, and called it a deliberate message
from Washington.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied any
White House orders, labeling the claims false and noting Starshield is a
separate military system not available to Ukraine, while issues with commercial
Starlink have been fixed. The exchange underscores Ukraine's dependence on U.S.
technology amid ongoing tensions over the war.
