Maresca Regrets Not Starting Acheampong in Leeds Defeat.

Chelsea fell 3-1 to Leeds on Wednesday, with goals from Jaka Bijol, Ao Tanaka, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin overwhelming a backline that included Trevoh Chalobah at right-back and Tosin Adarabioyo in the center. Maresca admitted his lineup choice to counter Leeds' long balls backfired, as they lost most of those battles, and praised the 18-year-old academy prospect who's shown promise in limited games. He dismissed talk of lacking experience, noting Adarabioyo was their most seasoned player that week and pointing to recent wins over Barcelona and a draw at Arsenal without veterans. Ahead of Bournemouth, Maresca demanded more from his side amid fatigue concerns.
