U.S. military strikes 10 Iranian targets near Strait of Hormuz

U.S. Navy and Air Force jets struck 10 Iranian military targets, including missile and drone storage, coastal radar sites, air defenses, and communications facilities near the Strait of Hormuz, retaliating against Iran's drone attack on the Panama-flagged tanker M/T Kiku and violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Iran's IRGC responded with ballistic missile and drone strikes on eight U.S. military sites, such as Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait and U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, with most projectiles intercepted and no casualties reported.

The exchanges have raised concerns over escalation and potential cancellation of U.S.-Iran peace talks.
