The high-speed crash happened early
Saturday on Raila Odinga Way near Riara University, where the vehicle mounted
the Nyayo footbridge stairs, slammed into it, and caught fire.
Police confirmed the driver and two passengers
died, their bodies burnt beyond recognition and taken to Nairobi Funeral Home.
Eyewitnesses pointed to excessive speed, with some speculating drunk driving on a Friday night, as the Kiambu Road Traffic Police Unit investigates amid traffic disruptions and calls for safer roads.
