The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
collected KSh 2.844 trillion in the 2025/26 financial year, marking a 10.6%
increase from KSh 2.572 trillion in the previous year but missing the KSh 2.98
trillion target by KSh 132.5 billion.
Customs revenue outperformed at
100.8% with KSh 988.78 billion, while PAYE reached KSh 598.81 billion and
Corporate Income Tax KSh 346.07 billion.
Five key sectors—Manufacturing, Energy, Financial & Insurance, Information & Communication, and Wholesale & Retail Trade—accounted for 62% of total revenue.
