Seven U.S. Aid Workers Quarantined in Kenya After DRC Ebola Work

The workers had been aiding the Ebola response in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the outbreak has caused 2,073 confirmed cases and 796 deaths since May.

Under new CDC rules, they must quarantine in a third country like Kenya before returning home, at a U.S.-backed facility on Laikipia Air Base despite local protests and court challenges.

Officials confirm all are healthy with no symptoms, monitored closely amid regional spread concerns from the Bundibugyo strain.
