On August
25, 2026, President William Ruto began a two-day development tour of Narok
County by launching the 59km Enengetia-Olposimoru Road upgrade to bitumen
standard.
The road connects Eneng'etia, Olokurto, Enkuseru, Olposimoru, and Kiptenden, easing transport of vegetables, maize, wheat, dairy, and other produce to markets while boosting trade.
Local MP Gabriel Ole Tongoyo called it the area's first tarmac road, promising better access for Narok North's wheat, barley, potato, and livestock farmers. Officials and residents celebrated the step toward stronger rural connectivity and economic growth.
