Ukrainian Diver Arrested in Croatia Over 2022 Nord Stream Explosions

German federal prosecutors announced the Wednesday arrest of Vladimir Z. in Pula, Croatia, on a European arrest warrant.

The Ukrainian national is strongly suspected of joining a group that placed explosives at 70-80 meters deep on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines near Denmark's Bornholm island in September 2022.

The sabotage caused huge gas leaks and severed a vital Russian gas route to Germany.

This follows earlier arrests linked to a yacht used in the operation, as investigators pursue the team behind the attack.
