For the
year ended June 30, 2026, Kenya Power posted an after-tax profit of KSh 24.99
billion, up 2.13 percent, fueled by record revenue of KSh 238.24 billion from
higher electricity sales of 12,777 GWh and 411,710 new customers.
Efficiency hit 81.42 percent thanks to network upgrades, while borrowings dropped 8.9 percent to KSh 79.82 billion and the board proposed a final dividend of KSh 1.20 per share.
Operating expenses jumped 26.7 percent to KSh 53.8 billion, raising questions on cost control, though analysts noted the stock looks underpriced on metrics like price-to-book.
