Kenyan MP Suggests UDA-ODM Alliance Would Sweep 2027 Election

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, ODM's National Assembly Minority Leader, stated that a UDA-ODM alliance would dominate Kenya's 2027 election by combining their 2022 voter bases of about 7 million each.

The remarks come as the parties build on a broad-based government with cabinet roles and a 10-point agreement, now under ODM leader Oburu Oginga after Raila Odinga's death in October 2025.

While supporters see stability and gains for former opposition areas, critics highlight shifting loyalties and question if those 2022 numbers still hold.
