On
September 6, Nepal’s Armed Police Force rescued Chandika from the fourth floor
of her home in Betrawati, Nuwakot district, giving her water before airlifting
her to a Kathmandu hospital.
The miracle came after floods triggered by an August 26 glacier collapse killed over 1,300 in Nepal and 43 in China's Gyirong County, with hundreds still missing.
Other survivors emerged from hydropower tunnels, including a Chinese national, as international teams aid ongoing searches amid destroyed border areas and limited information from China.
