Russia won 355 of 450 State Duma seats, capturing 57.83 percent of the vote in
the first such election since the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Turnout hit a
record 59.32 percent, giving the party an expanded constitutional majority to
pass laws independently.

unity, EU's Kaja Kallas criticized the vote for silencing dissent and barring
anti-war voices; Russia's Communist leader warned of defeat if the current path
continues.
