Iran's army
has shifted from a purely defensive stance to one allowing preemptive strikes
against imminent threats, as announced by spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad
Akraminia on Wednesday. He stated the forces have already used this approach
and are ready to do so again, citing improved missiles, drones, and knowledge
of enemy weaknesses amid tensions with the U.S. and Israel.
The change follows the February killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and recent U.S. military activity near the Persian Gulf, framed by Tehran as necessary self-defense.
