Iran Calls U.S. Outreach Positive but Rejects Immediate Meetings

Speaking to Al Jazeera on October 31, Abbas Araghchi said Iranian officials carefully reviewed Vance's message in high-level meetings but see no need for direct U.S. meetings under current conditions.

Tehran is reviewing nuclear proposals from Qatari and Pakistani mediators, with a delegation now in Doha to advance those discussions.

Araghchi stressed Iran's clear conditions like lifting certain sanctions and reducing U.S. forces in the region must be met before any future negotiations, direct or indirect, while noting economic pressures but refusing to compromise on dignity.
