monitors reported U.S. Air Force strikes on an IRGC missile launch site on
Qeshm Island and a naval base at Bandar-e-Jask on October 29.
A CENTCOM official described the Qeshm action
as defensive, following a week of surveillance after missile launches from the
area.
Iranian accounts claimed their forces
intercepted a hostile jet over Qeshm, while visuals showed thick smoke plumes
rising from Jask. Both sides presented their actions as defensive, with no casualty
or damage details released yet.
