U.S. Launches Second Day of Airstrikes on Iranian Targets Near Strait of Hormuz

Under President Trump's direction, U.S. Central Command hit Iranian air defenses, radars, and surveillance facilities starting at 5:15 p.m. ET Wednesday, firing 49 Tomahawk missiles and using fighter jets in what they called a proportional response to Iran's aggression.

Iran accused the U.S. of war crimes for damaging water reservoirs affecting 20,000 villagers, while claiming a Strait closure and U.S. warship hit—both refuted by CENTCOM.

Trump warned of harder strikes Thursday unless Iran agrees to end hostilities and limit its nuclear program, as oil prices topped $92 a barrel amid stalled talks.
